For outdoor spaces, we’ve found that oval and rectangular pools provide the most comfort for clients that want open spaces to freely swim and host numerous guests, while circular or hexagonal pools are better-suited for those that just want a small place to relax. The material in which a pool is constructed from, is also reliant on the type of material that clients prefer, whether it’s brick that matches their home or concrete that coincides with their deck and patio. For vanishing edge pools, we even integrate concrete decks that can duplicate the soft color of sand, making the pool appear more ocean-like than pool-like. Lap Pool
Lap pools are typically installed in a long, rectangular shape, giving swimmers the option to use them for long-distance sports training as well. Lap pools can be constructed and painted with lanes and meter points, so that avid swimmers are able to keep track of their swimming progress, as they would in a professional sports pool. Lap pools require significant length, width, and depth in order to make them worthy of training and with minimal turns, but can also be used as a pool for casual purposes as well.
 
Building Materials
As previously stated, pools can be built with a variety of building materials that help optimize their appearance and functionality. We often build our below-ground pools using concrete, while brick and pavers are a common choice for their accompanying decks. We trust the properties that concrete has to offer, as it is able to extend the longevity of your pool for several beyond installation. Another popular mixture that is used is called Gunite, which, like concrete, is a hardened mixture of sand and cement. Gunite is used to create a solid structure that can be molded into numerous shapes, based on the outline of your pool. It is then dried and sealed, and can later be applied with colorful pool tiles to add color to your pool’s interiors.
